Maistra camps are located in the northwestern part of Istria, the largest peninsula on the Adriatic. They are located in two towns - Rovinj and Vrsar.
Rovinj is one of the most developed tourist towns in Croatia, a diverse mix of interesting sights, such as the Old Town and dense pine forest (Zlatni rt is a park forest, while Rovinj islands and coastal area have been pronounced a protected area), and many other tourist attractions in the town and its surroundings.
Important features of Rovinj’s tourism offer are sport and recreation and a variety of events and entertainment and, of course, numerous bars and restaurants located right on the waterfront.
Vrsar is a picturesque town situated on a hill, with history that dates back more than 2000 years.
Main economic activities are farming, wine growing, fishing and tourism. The most indented coast of Istria is a true sailor's paradise, for there are more than 190 permanent quay side berths in the large marina available throughout the year. Opposite Vrsar stretches one of the most beautiful archipelagos with 18 uninhabited islands.
Next to usual sports, marine and other, Vrsar offers air sports as well: parachuting, parasailing and panoramic flights in sports planes.
